Housekeeping Director - Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel

What will be your mission?
As Housekeeping Manager, you will lead and motivate a team tasked with ensuring consistent high standards of cleanliness and service throughout the hotel.
You will be responsible for managing daily housekeeping operations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service, you will also monitor the financial performance of the Housekeeping department operation and the efficiency of the laundry service.
What will you do?
- Plan, schedule, and organize work to ensure proper coverage by the floor staff.
- Support floor staff in the cleaning and preparation of rooms, in case of urgency, incidence or need.
- Supervise common areas (lobby, lounges, hallways, etc.) and hotel rooms prepared and cleaned by floor staff (owned or subcontracted companies).
- Periodically organize the general cleanings of the hotel as well as communicate to the maintenance department the elements to be fixed.
- Collaborate with the front office department in the allocation of specific rooms based on the particular requirements or characteristics of the guests.
- Supervise and organize of the guests’ lingerie, proceeding to its cleaning in the hotel, or identifying it to be sent to an external dry cleaner.
- Supervise the inventory and control of all the flooring department materials (cleaning, amenities, etc.).
- Control the expenses within all areas of housekeeping and participate in the preparation of the annual departmental budget.
- Develop and implement procedures for managing quality of housekeeping and laundry services.
- Handle and monitor comments, suggestions and complaints from guests, creating and executing action plans.
- Supervise and carry out the tasks of preventive sanitary hygiene maintenance.
- Recruit, interview and train team members.
- Provide supervision, feedback and recognition to the team members on their performance and development.
What are we looking for?
- At least 1-2 years’ experience developing similar functions preferably in a hotel of similar size and complexity.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Fluency in local language is a must and knowledge of English is highly valuable.
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (Microsoft Office, etc.).
