Your role in the journey
As Maintenance Manager, you will lead the hotel’s technical operations, ensuring maintenance plans, safety procedures and projects are executed efficiently and effectively. You will act as a trusted advisor to the General Manager and take the lead on major projects, from renovations and refurbishments to equipment replacement and facility improvements.
Your responsibilities include:
- Leading large-scale technical projects, including renovations, conversions and equipment replacements.
- Managing and monitoring maintenance plans, priorities and budgets.
- Coordinating quotations, suppliers, contractors and project proposals.
- Creating work schedules, assigning tasks and guiding the Engineering team.
- Managing external service providers for specialist maintenance and repairs.
- Ensuring compliance with all technical, legal and safety requirements.
- Maintaining certifications and inspections, including lifts, fire safety systems and other critical installations.
- Monitoring the technical condition of facilities and planning preventive maintenance activities.
- Developing project proposals covering timelines, budgets, quality standards and operational impact.
- Maintaining environmental, energy and technical reports and documentation.
- Ensuring the highest standards of safety for both guests and employees throughout the hotel.
What you’ll bring
- A completed technical education.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience within a technical department, preferably in a luxury or 5-star hotel environment.
- Experience with maintenance management in hospitality, retail or a similar service-driven industry.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- A proactive, hands-on mentality and the ability to solve problems practically and efficiently.
- A strong sense of responsibility for safety, compliance and quality standards.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and find effective solutions in demanding situations.
- Excellent technical knowledge of installations, maintenance processes and building systems.
- Strong communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with the confidence to take ownership and drive improvements.
