F&B Employee - Full-time - NH Amsterdam Noord

As an F&B Employee (f/m/d), you will be responsible for the restaurant and banqueting. You enjoy your role as an authentic host and you feel comfortable in engaging with our national and international guests.

Your Role at a Glance 

06:15 You arrive. Go to the dressing room and get changed into your work uniform.

06:30 The Breakfast shift starts. You will prepare the buffet and behind the scene you organize the set up for a busy morning. Prepare the water jugs for the water buffet in the Lobby.

If we expect a serious number of guests you will work with a dishwasher as well. Make sure you communicate clearly so everyone knows what being expected.

07:00 The guests arrive for breakfast. You ask for the room number and inform the guests of the freshly made possibilities. If they haven’t been with us before you show them around. 

If necessary, you will prepare and bring a roomservice up to the room.

09:00 You go have a coffee and get the breakfast chef one too. You’re a team!

Take care of the stickering following haccp rules.

10:00/sat 11:00/sun 12:00 The breakfast has ended. You have informed our guests 15 minutes before that we will close so they can prepare for it. Guests can stay 15 minutes after closing but we will start cleaning while they are there. You prepare all the goods in the fridge for the next day. You make sure the restaurant is ready for the next shift.

You count the cash register together with a colleague and get the information properly registered.

After you have had lunch approximately around 11:30 in the canteen, you will do a floorcheck, wash it away and then set up the canteen for the next day. Clean the coffee machine etc. By 14:30 all is done and you meet up with colleagues for an after work coffee.

• You are a hard worker with an eye for detail and see a challenge in every situation;
• You have a passion for food and beverage. Experience as waiter in a restaurant or in the hospitality industry and a relevant education are useful, but not the most important for us;
• You have a good command of the Dutch and English language;
• You love to share your passion and knowledge for food and beverage with our guests and colleagues.
