the city of Amsterdam has always been and continues to be. The impressive 91-metre-tall building is located in the Zuidas district, right next to the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, offering its guests
a dynamic headquarters and home base.
For this iconic social hub, we are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and organized Interim Meeting & Events Operations Manager.You will be responsible for creating nhow experiences for every contact
person and every guest. The hotel has 10 modern meeting spaces located on the 23th and 24th floor, with stunning 360° views of Amsterdam. In collaboration with the Amsterdam RAI
Convention Centre, we help facilitate smaller team meetings, presentations, after-parties, social gatherings, product launches, and much more. The Meeting & Events Operations team, or
Banqueting team as we call it, is small but mighty and it consists of Banqueting Manager, two Supervisors, 2 full-time colleagues, and a team of flex-pool colleagues.

What part will you play in creating the unforgettable?
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all banquet, conference, meetings, and special events.
- Manage the end-to-end event process, ensuring client requirements are accurately communicated and delivered.
- Lead, train, schedule, and supervise banqueting team to maintain exceptional service standards.
- Coordinate closely with Sales, Events, Kitchen, Housekeeping, and other hotel departments to ensure smooth event execution.
- Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event evaluations to drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor service delivery during events, promptly resolving guest concerns and operational issues.
- Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction and build strong relationships with clients, organizers, and VIP guests.
- Control labor costs, equipment usage, and departmental expenses.
- Manage inventory of banquet supplies, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and company policies.
What makes you the perfect fit for this bold journey?
- Proven experience as a Banqueting Manager, Events Manager, or Senior Banqueting Supervisor within a hotel environment.
- Ability to start at short notice and quickly adapt to existing hotel procedures and teams.
- Excellent operational planning, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Experience managing staffing levels, schedules, and outside labour.
- Exceptional guest service focus with a track record of delivering high-quality events.
- You have a good command of the English language. Dutch is a strong advantage;
- Flexible in schedule as you may need to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
