nhow Amsterdam RAI is a social and multicultural hub for globetrotters, business travelers, and Amsterdam locals. The iconic building, facing the various wind directions, symbolizes the melting pot the city of Amsterdam has always been and continues to be. The impressive 91-metre-tall building is located in the Zuidas district, right next to the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, offering its guests a dynamic headquarters and home base.
For this iconic social hub, we are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Executive Sous Chef who is available for short-term asignment and who is ready to take part in this large dynamic design hotel. The kitchen is located on the 17th floor and with its unique location and the view, it is one of the highest located professional kitchens in Amsterdam. The kitchen services the breakfast buffet of up to 900 covers, the room service, all day bar menu, evening restaurant ala carte, and the banqueting. The team of the kitchen consists of the Executive Head Chef, the Executive Sous Chef, Banqueting Sous Chef, Breakfast Chef, and a brigade of Chef de Parties, Commis and Stewards. The core team has 15 members that are supported by the pool of flex-chefs.

What part will you play in creating the unforgettable?
As Executive Sous Chef you will come in to support us for 4-8 months. Together with the Executive Chef, you are the driving force behind the kitchen team. You know how to get the best out of your team members, and you ensure a culinary experience for every guest. You actively assist with cooking, and you support the Chef with various projects to improve processes in the kitchen. You contribute to changes in the menu, update recipes and make food calculations. You assist the chef with activities such as scheduling, complying with and checking hygiene procedures, managing the kitchen stock, and placing orders.
