- Gain a comprehensive insight into the key duties and responsibilities of a Deputy Hotel Manager.
- Confidently step into the role of Duty Manager, equipped to manage complex operational challenges with independence and professionalism.
- Develop a solid understanding of the commercial and financial dimensions of hotel management, enabling you to actively contribute to strategic decisions.
1. Operational Management and Leadership
Daily Supervision:
- Monitor operational departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, M&E, ...) and ensure service standards are met.
- Learn how daily meetings with various teams are conducted and how to plan the day effectively.
- Act as a point of contact for department heads and provide support with operational challenges.
Guest Relations:
- Welcome VIPs and manage their stay.
- Personally handle complex guest complaints and ensure satisfactory resolution.
- Collect and analyze guest feedback (online reviews, surveys) to continuously improve service.
2. Finance and Business Analysis
Financial Reports:
- Understand daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reports.
- Learn how occupancy rates and Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR) are analyzed.
Business Management:
- Participate in revenue management and pricing strategy meetings.
- Analyze competition and trends in the local Brussels market.
- Develop business concepts in collaboration with marketing and sales managers.
3. Quality and Safety
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct quality checks in all hotel areas (rooms, public spaces, restaurant).
- Ensure nhow standards and the hotel's visual presentation are consistent.
Safety and Compliance:
- Learn and monitor compliance with safety procedures and emergency protocols.
- Participate in managing unexpected situations and crises (e.g., technical failures).

- Bilingual (FR/EN); proficiency in multiple languages is a plus. Dutch is an asset.
