Reporting to the Director of Sales you will be responsible for the Sales team and work closely with all hotel departments, Minor Regional Director of Business Development, and Minor hotels Head Office.
Specific duties and responsibilities include;
- To assist the sales team in driving total hotel revenue and take responsibility for the achievement of budgeted revenue.
- To attend & be fully prepared for the sales meeting, through guidance of the team, and other sales related meetings as required by the Director of Sales.
- To arrange and manage familiarisation trips and sites visit with clients, company colleagues and/or team members.
- To plan and attend any trade fairs, ensuring that the quality image of the organisation is portrayed, and that every opportunity is taken to promote the Hotel.
- To plan and attend sales weeks with local partner DMC’s and other hotels both locally and internationally.
- To be responsible for the development of new business within the Corporate, Group and Events segments, strategic development of such accounts as well as ensuring maximum delivery of existing accounts.
- To proactively manage a pre-determined number of key accounts/key prospects and other active accounts to ensure maximum yield in line with budgetary objectives.
- To look after the hotel competitive set and market share (especially in corporate and MICE segments) and discuss in Sales meetings whenever relevant.
- To develop a close cooperation with corporate accounts, local DMCs, chambers of Commerce, local/government institutions, and Entertainment companies.
- To maintain valid call objectives and relevant action plans for each key account/key prospect and ensure all follow up is executed in a timely manner.
- To create and implement programs to achieve greater profitability through increasing average rate, overall occupancy, and increased business volume.
- To maintain knowledge of market, competition, and customers.
- To liaises with Director of Sales in the delivery of specific hotel marketing projects such as production of sales collateral and advertising campaigns.
- To manage the completion of all RFPs contracts solicitations ensuring they are completed accurately and in line with budgeted guidelines.
- To ensure M&E revenue is always maximized.
- To create positive and trusting relationships with all clients.
- To compile weekly reports as set out by the Director of Sales.
- To serve as a role model for the sales team and hotel team.
- To effectively manage the Sales & Events team with the collaboration of the Events Sales Manager, Sales Manager / C&E Manager and register all RFP’s and other tasks in SAP/TMS, sending all enquiring within 24 hours.
- To enhance the relationship with LHW when it comes to our MICE proposition, by taking special care of every single need or enquiry.
- To maintain a positive personal image to the customer and develop the interaction.
- To foster a climate and environment which delight customers.
- To anticipate the needs and feelings of the customer and respond to appropriately while keeping in balance the needs of the organisation.
- To actively solicitate feedback from customers and identify, interpret problems affecting the customers.
- To ensure solutions are generated, actioned, and evaluated in response to any customer complaint.
- To monitor customer complaints and identify trends.
- To provide guidance and develop the knowledge and expertise within the team.
- To coordinate marketing campaigns with sales activities.
- To implement and administer the current purchase system for the department.
- To maintain good liaisons and communications with all management and all heads of department.
- To ensure in the absence of the Director of Sales that good communication is maintained amongst the team.
Must currently have the right to work in ireland / EU.
Knowledge of Thai culture would be valued
