What will be your mission?
As Assistant Front Office Manager (M/F), you will support the Front Office Manager in the daily coordination of Front‑Office and Back‑Office operations, ensuring service quality, guest satisfaction and compliance with operational standards. You will also replace the Front Office Manager whenever necessary.
What will you do?
- Ensure the efficient execution of all front office operations (check‑in, check‑out, reservations, room assignments).
- Provide guest assistance and personalised support, including VIP Guests.
- Handle complaints and support the management of overbooking situations.
- Promote the loyalty programme, upselling and cross‑selling initiatives.
- Support staff scheduling, task allocation and daily team supervision.
- Conduct briefings when necessary and guarantee consistent handovers between shifts.
- Participate in the onboarding, training and follow‑up of new employees and interns.
- Ensure compliance with work instructions and internal standards.
- Support the control of billing, consumption and exemptions.
- Monitor the application of hygiene, quality, environmental and safety standards.
- Report anomalies and ensure communication with maintenance through the internal system.
- Ensure effective communication with all hotel departments.
- Inform relevant departments about special needs, events and VIP arrivals.
- Follow up on guest requests until resolution.
- Strong customer orientation and excellence in service delivery.
- Leadership skills and the ability to motivate teams.
- Effective communication, empathy and conflict‑management skills.
- Organisation, proactivity and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with PMS and operational hotel tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities.
- Acts as Front Office Manager replacement during absences, ensuring operational continuity and service quality.
What are we looking for?
- At least 2-3 years of hotel Front Office experience, preferably in a hotel of similar size and complexity.
- Degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent.
- Fluency in local language is a must and a high level of English is required.
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (Microsoft Office,TMS, etc) and front office systems. Knowledge of the principles of revenue management and commercial policies.
