Are you an experienced technical professional who enjoys keeping the overview while still working hands-on? As Maintenance Manager at NH Collection Gent, you will combine team leadership, planning and budget management with practical technical work throughout the hotel. Approximately 50% of your time will be spent on coordination and administration, while the other 50% will involve hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting and technical improvements.

Your workplace
NH Collection Gent is located in the historic centre of Ghent and features 174 stylish rooms and suites, 10 fully equipped meeting rooms for up to 400 guests and the unique 13th-century Denys Medieval Crypt.
As Maintenance Manager, you will ensure that these varied spaces and technical installations remain safe, reliable and excellently maintained. In doing so, you will directly contribute to the comfort of both our guests and colleagues.

Your Day-to-Day
You will lead the Maintenance team and actively support day-to-day operations whenever required. In addition, you will:
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for guest rooms, public areas, technical installations, and hotel facilities.
- Analyze and resolve technical issues and equipment failures.
- Plan and oversee mandatory inspections, audits, and safety checks.
- Closely monitor energy consumption, maintenance costs, and budgets.
- Develop project plans and maintenance schedules, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Manage external contractors and suppliers, and monitor the quality of their work.
- Maintain relationships with external authorities and organizations, including the fire department.
- Work closely with other hotel departments to ensure the comfort, safety, and satisfaction of both guests and team members.

Excellence begins with you – Your qualities
For this position, we are looking for someone with proven technical and leadership experience.
In addition:

you have at least 3 to 4 years of experience in technical maintenance, preferably within a hotel or a similar service-oriented environment;

you have completed a technical education, for example in electrical engineering, HVAC or electromechanics;

you speak Dutch fluently, and knowledge of English is a strong advantage;

you are practically minded and enjoy solving technical problems yourself;
-
you work in a structured way and maintain a clear overview, even when several issues arise at the same time;

you can work both independently and as part of a team;

you preferably have experience with MS Office, SAP, CMMS/GMAO and BMS systems.
