What will be your mission?
As part of Groups & Events Management (M/F), you will be responsible for coordinating Groups & Business and Leisure Events reservations (meeting rooms, rooms) for Urban hotels in the Lisbon and Sintra region. Ensures client support from the quote request through the booking process.
What will you do?
- Respond professionally and effectively to client quote requests and reservations received via email, phone, or reservation center platform.
- You must be familiar with the different types of rooms/meeting spaces available (location and layout), as well as the benefits of all packages/programs, and choose appropriate MICE rates/prices based on your business strategy. Establish and develop cooperative relationships with customers, staff, and hotels, ensuring compliance with established deadlines and internal reservation policy terms and conditions. - Take a positive approach with customers during the reservation process, proactively seeking to upsell products and services (disclose special promotions and amenities available at the hotel).
- Create and maintain an up-to-date reservation record (ensuring immediate management of cancellations and/or changes), properly updating reservation-related files, and communicating changes to hotels.
- Gather Information: Obtain, receive, and obtain information from all relevant sources about our business and provide it to supervisors or coworkers by phone, email, or in person (events, company connections, various proposals).
- Resolve Conflicts, Decision-Making/Negotiation: Listen to customers and actively seek ways to help them, choose the best solution, ability to handle complaints and conflicts, and negotiation skills. Consider the pros and cons of possible decisions, being able to choose the most appropriate one.
- Think critically and creatively: Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems, proposing new ideas.
- Be open to active learning: Understand the implications of new information for current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
