Accounting Technician (M/F) - Minor Hotels . Lisbon

What will be your mission?

As an Accounting Technician (M/F), you will be responsible, among other things, for ensuring the integrity of accounting records in order to produce the company's financial, economic, and tax statements.

What will you do?

• Organize, review, and prepare accounting entries to produce the financial, economic, and tax statements of the various companies
• Analyze ongoing investments across different companies
• Validate fixed asset records and monthly depreciation
• Ensure compliance with monthly and annual tax obligations
• Perform analysis, verification, and reconciliation of accounts
• Support monthly and annual closing activities in line with defined deadlines
• Prepare monthly management reports
• Prepare documentation for monthly consolidation
• Communicate accounting standards and procedures and ensure they are followed
• Be responsible for account control, monthly and annual closings, and determination of results, as well as consolidation reporting, preparation and submission of VAT returns, withholding taxes (IRS/IRC/Stamp Duty), and other tax declarations, among others
  
  

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Accounting (preferred)
• Minimum of 3–4 years of professional experience in similar roles within the finance area and the hotel industry (preferred)
• Experience with SAP will be considered an asset
• Good knowledge of Excel
• Solid knowledge of Accounting and Taxation
• Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, proactivity, sense of responsibility, and attention to detail, quality, and accuracy
• Professional attitude, with excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills across different stakeholders
• Strong time management skills, ability to work under pressure, and flexibility in working hours
• Proficiency in Portuguese, English, and Spanish (written and spoken)
