What will be your mission?
As a General Manager (M/F) of Tivoli Avenida Liberdade Lisbon Hotel, your mission is to lead the overall performance, positioning and long-term success of one of Lisbon’s most iconic hotels.
You will be fully accountable for delivering strong financial results, elevating guest experience, strengthening the hotel’s positioning within the luxury city segment, and leading a high-performing executive team. Acting as the primary representative of the hotel, you will maintain strong relationships with ownership, corporate stakeholders and key market partners.
What will you do?
As General Manager, you will have full responsibility for the strategic, financial and operational leadership of the hotel, including:
- Define, lead and oversee the hotel strategy, ensuring alignment with Tivoli brand values, Minor Hotels objectives and local market opportunities.
- Propose the annual budget and deliver agreed Revenue and GOP targets, ensuring accurate forecasting and effective Revenue Management practices.
- Hold full P&L accountability for the hotel, ensuring strong overall business performance through effective cost control, productivity management, financial discipline and sustainable profitability.
- Effectively lead and manage the day-to-day operational activities of the hotel through the Executive Committee and the operational department heads, ensuring seamless execution, operational excellence and consistent performance.
- Build, lead and inspire a strong executive committee and management team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, development and engagement.
- Act as a role model for service excellence, professionalism and integrity.
- Ensure full brand compliance, while protecting and enhancing the heritage, identity and positioning of Tivoli Avenida da Liberdade.
- Drive the Sales, Marketing and commercial strategy, successfully positioning the hotel in the Lisbon luxury city market.
- Ensure accurate management of Revenue Management activities, pricing strategies and market segmentation.
- Act as the primary interface with ownership, maintaining transparent, professional and trust-based relationships.
- Represent the hotel and the brand with key partners, clients, institutions and industry stakeholders.
- Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction, service quality and brand experience across all hotel touchpoints.
- Ensure continuous improvement of operational and service skills across all hotel teams.
- Support and implement all corporate programmes, initiatives and governance guidelines.
- Ensure full compliance with corporate policies, brand standards, legal requirements and local regulations.
- Perform additional responsibilities and lead special projects as required in support of brand priorities and business objectives.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven hotel leader with a strong background in luxury or upscale urban hospitality.
Key requirements include:
- Proven experience as General Manager, ideally within a luxury or upscale city hotel.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with a track record of delivering revenue growth, GOP performance and asset value.
- Deep understanding of Sales, Marketing and Revenue Management in competitive urban markets.
- Outstanding leadership and people management capabilities, with experience leading executive teams.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills, including ownership relations.
- International experience and ability to operate in multicultural environments.
- High level of English proficiency; Portuguese is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
