What will be your mission?
As Sommelier, you will be responsible for delivering an outstanding wine experience to our guests, providing expert guidance, impeccable service, and ensuring an efficient and well-curated wine offering across the hotel.
What will you do?
- Deliver a high-quality wine service, offering tailored recommendations based on guests’ preferences
- Create memorable dining experiences through thoughtful wine and food pairings
- Manage and control wine stock, ensuring proper storage, rotation, and availability
- Contribute to the development and regular update of the wine lists
- Train and support the service team, fostering wine knowledge and culture
- Drive wine sales, contributing to the overall revenue performance of the outlet
What are we looking for?
- Previous experience as a Sommelier, ideally within upscale hospitality or fine dining environments
- Professional Sommelier certification
- Strong knowledge of both national and international wines
- Experience in stock management and product control
- Ability to train and engage teams in wine culture (e.g., pairings, suggestive selling)
- Fluency in Portuguese and a good level of English, both spoken and written (additional languages are a plus)
- A genuine passion for wine and beverages
- Strong guest focus and commitment to service excellence
- Eagerness to learn and continuously develop
- Availability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and strong team spirit
