What will you do?
At project, brand and stakeholder management level:
- Lead and coordinate the interior design development of luxury hotel projects, ensuring alignment with brand positioning, guest experience, operational requirements, investment objectives and approved design strategy.
- Manage the preparation, review and coordination of design documentation, including mood boards, material palettes, FF&E selections, layouts, room concepts, specifications, design presentations and decision-making materials.
- Coordinate architects, interior design studios, procurement teams, technical departments, operations and external consultants to ensure design consistency, quality and timely delivery throughout all project phases.
- Review layouts, design proposals and technical packages, identifying risks, design deviations and opportunities for improvement in terms of functionality, circulation, durability, maintainability and luxury hospitality standards.
- Contribute to the definition, implementation and continuous improvement of brand design guidelines, technical standards and product references for guestrooms, public areas, F&B spaces, wellness areas and operational interfaces.
- Lead supplier, material and FF&E reviews, supporting the selection and validation of finishes, furniture, lighting, fabrics, accessories and decorative elements suitable for upscale and luxury hotel environments.
- Participate in site visits, mock-up room reviews and project follow-up meetings, providing clear recommendations and ensuring that the approved design intent is preserved during implementation.
What are we looking for?
TRAINING EXPECTED
- Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related design discipline.
- Advanced English level required; Spanish and/or other languages will be positively considered.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of rendering tools will be an asset.
- Strong ability to prepare clear visual presentations, technical design packages and FF&E documentation.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in interior design, preferably with a strong focus on luxury hospitality, lifestyle hotels or high-end residential projects.
- Proven experience managing hotel projects, renovations or repositioning initiatives from concept design through design development, tender support and implementation.
- Experience coordinating external design studios, architects, suppliers and multidisciplinary project teams in an international environment.
- Solid experience in FF&E selection, material review, sample approval, mock-up room evaluation and design quality control.
- Previous experience presenting design proposals, recommendations and project updates to senior stakeholders will be highly valued.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Strong sensitivity to luxury hospitality design, contemporary lifestyle trends, guest experience, brand storytelling and product differentiation.
- High attention to detail, excellent aesthetic judgement and ability to balance creativity with operational, technical and budgetary feasibility.
- Strong communication, coordination and influencing skills, with the ability to manage internal stakeholders and external partners in a structured and collaborative way.
- Good understanding of finishes, furniture, lighting, fabrics, decorative accessories, suppliers and procurement implications for upscale and luxury hotel projects.
- Availability to travel when required for project coordination, site visits, supplier meetings, design reviews or mock-up room evaluations.
