As part of Minor Hotels, the region of Minor Hotels Europe & Americas is responsible for more than 350 properties in 30 countries and plans to grow across all segments, with a focus on its upper-upscale and luxury brands.

What will be your mission?

The mission of the role is to provide general legal advice to Minor Hotels Europe & Americas regional office on the day-to-day running of the business, with a particular focus on real estate business, facilitating the implementation of the corporate initiatives and at the same time, following the company guidelines and ensuring the legality in their execution.

Experience in the hospitality industry will be highly valued.

What will you do?

  • Review, drafting, and negotiating real estate agreements: MOUs, LOIs, NDAs, lease agreements, management agreements, franchise agreements, sale and lease back agreements, etc.
  • Legal advice on M&A transactions. Negotiation, analysis, and drafting of contracts relating to M&A transactions (share purchase agreements, joint ventures, shareholders' agreements, etc.). Legal assistance in all phases of an M&A transaction (due diligence process, management of the legal Q&A, closing and post-closing tasks, etc.)
  • Assistance to the finance department in the review of policies, credit lines, guarantees, bank account contracts, confirming, etc...
  • Advising all company departments in their day-to-day activities and drafting all types of commercial contracts.
  • Facilitating the company's business objectives by providing practical, timely, and effective legal support, while minimising potential legal risks.

What are we looking for?

Education:

  • Law degree and admission to the Spanish Bar
  • LL.M

Specific Knowledge:

  • Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken is a must. Any other languages will be considered an asset.
  • A thorough understanding of the major Spanish laws and regulations.
  • Experience providing reporting to senior level management on day-to-day business.
  • Experience negotiating and documenting complex transactions.

Professional Experience:

Minimum of 7 years of experience in a reputable international law firm. Experience in a multinational organisation will be valued.
