Development Director Italy - Minor Hotels

What will be your mission?
As Development Director Italy, your mission is to drive the company’s growth in the Italian market by sourcing, evaluating and closing new hotel opportunities. You will represent the company in the hospitality real estate market, build strong long‑term relationships with owners and operators, and ensure the successful execution of development strategies.
What will you do?
- Source, analyze, negotiate and close new hotel contracts in Italy.
- Build and maintain a strong network of institutional and private landlords, owners, investors, operators, brokers and partners.
- Generate qualified leads aligned with agreed development strategies and standards.
- Lead negotiations of leases, HMA, franchise agreements and TSA agreements.
- Coordinate internal teams (Legal, Project, Finance, Operations) to ensure successful contract signing.
- Monitor relevant hospitality industry trends and assess potential impacts.
- Conduct research and analysis on hotel markets and development targets.
- Define and update priority markets within a development strategy.
- Represent the company by attending key hospitality events.
- Support environmental management initiatives as required.
What are we looking for?
- 5–10 years of experience in hospitality real estate (hotel chains, investors, consultants, banks).
- Expertise in real estate finance, hotel development and sector‑specific dynamics.
- Strong sales, marketing and networking skills; relationship‑driven profile.
- Highly organized, goal‑oriented, competitive and results‑driven mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all organization levels.
- Strong self‑motivation, analytical ability and credibility in financial assessment.
- Creative problem‑solver with implementation capability.
- Knowledge of hotel contracts (leasing, management, franchise) and USALI financial reporting.
- Excellent Italian and English; third language preferred.
- Negotiation skills, business sense, global vision and emotional intelligence.
- Bachelor’s degree minimum; Master or hospitality school valued
