Tax Specialist - Minor Hotels Italy

What will be your mission? 

Minor Hotels Europe & Americas is looking for a General Ledger & Tax Specialist to join its Milan headquarters.

The successful candidate will join the Finance & Administration (F&A) Department and support the Head of Finance in administrative and financial processes, managing accounting activities through to the preparation of the financial statements, as well as tax-related matters, in compliance with required procedures and deadlines.

What will you do? 

• Manage periodic accounting activities, including VAT register checks and the maintenance and storage of statutory accounting books.
• Prepare tax returns and filings (VAT, Form 770, CU – Certificazione Unica, Declarations of Intent), including electronic submissions and F24 tax payments.
• Manage relationships with the external tax advisory firm.
• Support auditing activities and provide the required documentation for both internal and external audits.
• Support the calculation of IRES and IRAP corporate taxes for monthly and annual closings, as well as for tax returns, electronic submissions and F24 payments.
• Review and continuously update tax procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Liaise with colleagues at Headquarters, other international Business Units and the Shared Service Center.
• Support the preparation of the annual financial statements documentation and contribute to projects related to administrative and tax matters.

What are we looking for? 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar role and/or in audit; previous experience with a Big Four firm would be considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of international accounting standards (IAS/IFRS) would be considered a plus.
• Excellent command of English; knowledge of Spanish would be considered an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with SAP would be considered a plus.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, a collaborative approach and operational flexibility, as well as the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and continuously reassess priorities.

Compensation

Gross annual salary starting from 38K.

Compensantion will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, skills and level of seniority.
