What will be your mission?

What will you do?

• Arrive at work on time in the uniform provided, ensuring a neat and tidy appearance, according to the associate handbook.
• Have a complete knowledge of the hotel product, including room types, rates, relative features and facilities, food and beverage outlets, spa and health club.
• Ensure that all reports are prepared and completely on time.
• Ensure that correct chemical handling procedures are practiced.
• Ensure correct fabric care procedures are followed per LSOP.
• Ensure that LSOPs are available, current and in effect and available for all associates to use as reference.
• Avoid overtime through good supervision and immediate response to problems.
• Ensure that all employees are clean, neat and wearing the correct uniform.
• Ensure immediate response to any guest problems and correspondence.
• Ensure that any non-inventory item’s found in laundry are taken immediately to Lost & Found Store-room in housekeeping.
• Maintain a regular quality control inspection of department standards.
• Regularly inspection machinery fir signs of wear & tear, deterioration of hoses, belts, covers etc. Any defect of maintenance request should be legged via data base for action by the Engineering Department.
• Develop and maintain a motivational working environment within the department and positive relations with other departments.
• Ensure chemical wastage is kept to a minimum.
• Attend training sessions as required.
• Attend meetings as required.
• Conduct duties of tasks as directed by Hotel Management.

What are we looking for?

• At least vocational diploma in any field.
• At least 1 year as Laundry Supervisor or fast track from Laundry through cross training of at least 3 months.
• Completion of Essential Skills.
• Capable of supervising and good in leadership skills.
• Good inter-personality.
• Proficiency in English both oral and written.
