Your Role at a Glance 

As the Market Sales Manager you represent the hotels in the Utrecht region with a strong focus on all managed B2B segments of these hotels. Through a result driven approach, you are able to secure target results in the primarily segments: Business Groups, Meeting & Events, Corporate Transient and have a significant contribution to achieve the NH Hotels’ sales objectives, booking goals, and property revenues in rooms and food & beverage. You represent the NH Hotels in the Utrecht region in main strategic (Inter) national sales activities in the regional and local market, in line with the commercial plan. You have a solid network and work closely together with National and International Sales Team colleagues. 

 

Tasks & responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for a combination of new business acquisition and account management. Also support national and international customer relationships for the hotels and ensure coordinated account management according to rules of engagement. 
  • (Partly) responsible for the sales strategy and executing this for the NH Hotels in the Utrecht region. 
  • Monitor performance of the account portfolios and sales figures and take actions accordingly. 
  • Maintain and develop the RFP’s together with the National & International Sales Offices
  • Be present and visible for our guest/client and staff in moments where it matters (site inspections, commercial visits, events etc)
  • Be the first point of contact for the Utrecht city network and actively work on maintaining and developing relationships. 
  • Attending the commercial meeting cycle and translating the revenue analyses of the NH Hotels in his/her market into sales activities
  • Supporting in converting big Group and MICE requests
  • First point of contact for all commercial concerns towards the HD’s, Revenue Management and Organizers. 

 

What Makes You a Great Fit   

  • Helping guests puts a big smile on your face. The ‘always a pleasure’ mentality is second nature for you, and you are happy to go the extra mile for our guests.
  • Preferably experienced with Lanyon, Hotelligence, MiceView and TMS.
  • You have excellent commercial and communicational skills, you work well independently as well as in a team.
  • You are flexible in the broadest sense of the word (no 9-5 mentality and if necessary available in the weekend). 
  • You have 2 – 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably at an (international) hotel chain and you have your B driving license.
  • Furthermore, you are proactive, creative and stress resistant and you have an excellent command of the Dutch and English language, both verbally and in writing.
