We are now seeking a PR & Communications Manager to lead our public relations and communications efforts for the hotel, our three restaurants and bars (including Michelin-starred EDVARD), our 800 m² Anantara Spa, and our meeting & event spaces—ensuring our story is told with authenticity, elegance, and strategic impact.
Job Description:
As PR & Communications Manager, you will be the voice and storyteller of Anantara Palais Hansen Vienna Hotel. Reporting to the hotel’s Director of Sales & Marketing as well as to Minor Hotels’ regional PR leadership, you will lead all public relations and communications initiatives, ensuring alignment with the hotel’s commercial goals and the Anantara brand ethos. Close collaboration and shared project management with the hotel’s Marketing Manager is essential to ensure a seamless and integrated 360° communications approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the hotel’s annual PR and communications strategy in alignment with the General Manager, Director of Sales & Marketing, and regional PR leadership.
- Identify and craft compelling storytelling opportunities across all departments (Rooms, F&B, Spa, Events, Experiences) to drive media engagement and brand visibility.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local, national, and international media, influencers, and opinion leaders across luxury, lifestyle, travel, gastronomy and wellness sectors.
- Manage relationships with PR agencies in key source markets (Austria, Germany, Switzerland, US, UK, Middle East, and others).
- Host and coordinate national and international media and influencer stays, ensuring curated guest experiences and strategic coverage.
- Jointly develop and execute the hotel’s social media strategy with the Marketing Manager, ensuring a unified voice and visual identity.
- Collaborate on campaigns, content creation, and guest engagement initiatives with the Marketing Manager and internal stakeholders.
- Safeguard the Anantara brand image across all guest touchpoints and internal communications, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and tone of voice, working with the Marketing Manager.
- Seek local brand partnerships aligned with the Anantara brand to enhance visibility in the luxury segment and local community.
- Work closely with the Business Unit on creative concepts across Hotel, F&B, and meetings and events.
- Develop and launch Anantara Signature Brand Experiences in partnership with local cultural, art, and culinary institutions.
- Prepare and/or supervise press releases in line with the communications plan and with approval from the area PR Director.
- Maintain a comprehensive media database across relevant sectors and markets. With a strong culinary focus across three restaurants and bars, build and nurture relationships with local and German-speaking media.
- Monitor PR performance, media coverage, and social sentiment, providing regular reporting and insights.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or a related field, ideally within the luxury hospitality or lifestyle sector.
- Proven experience in media relations, storytelling, and brand communications.
- Existing network of local and international media contacts in luxury, lifestyle, and travel preferred.
- Native or fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management skills with a creative mindset and attention to detail.
- Collaborative spirit with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders.

This position is classified in LG 3 of the collective agreement for the hotel and hospitality industry. With appropriate professional experience/vocational training, above-average pay is guaranteed!
