At NH Brussels Grand Place Arenberg, our kitchen is at the heart of the guest experience. As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will play a key operational role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen. You will take ownership of the kitchen operations during your shift and ensure that all food is prepared and presented according to Minor Hotels standards.

The focus of the kitchen is on delivering high-quality food for our breakfast service, meeting and event coffee breaks, business lunches, and banqueting operations. You will work independently while collaborating closely with the Food & Beverage team to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Your Role at a Glance

 

  • Organizing and supervising the daily kitchen operations.
  • Preparing and presenting food for breakfast, meeting and event breaks, lunches, and banqueting services.
  • Ensuring all dishes are prepared according to Minor Hotels standards and recipes.
  • Coordinating production and service to meet guest and business requirements.
  • Managing stock levels, ordering requirements, and minimizing food waste.
  • Ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation of products in compliance with HACCP regulations.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Keeping all kitchen areas clean, organized, and safe at all times.
  • Monitoring and enforcing food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
  • Supporting and guiding less experienced team members when required.
  • Collaborating with other hotel departments to ensure successful meetings, events, and banqueting operations.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen, ideally within a hotel, banqueting, or conference environment.
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility for the daily kitchen operation.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Good knowledge of food production for breakfast, lunch, and event catering.
  • Thorough understanding of HACCP and food safety regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
  • A hands-on attitude with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
  • Team-oriented mindset and excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays when required.
  • Ability to communicate in French and English is a plus.
